Benefit They’re Real! Mascara Review

I have to admit that Benefit’s They’re Real! Mascara (RRP:$38) is actually my first ever Benefit product purchase! At first I wasn’t sure if it would be worth the money (or the hype) but after seeing a few reviews on it, I had to try it!

So what did I think?

Loved it, Loved it, Loved it! My favourite thing about the mascara is that it really doesn’t budge!! I work some long days (and sleep on the train) and this mascara stays put.  I feel confident that once I have put it on, it is staying on and I’m not going to find bits of it on my face.  I have mentioned in previous post how much I hate putting on mascara, it taking forever to dry and then by the time I walk to the door, I have bits of it under my eyes. So annoying!!

They’re Real!! Mascara dries quickly and you don’t need many coats to get a good look. I like a natural look during the day, but you could definitely build this up. It has a gel formula and the colour is a really nice deep black. I quite like the brush, which is made of rubber and the bristles are quite defined.

Because of it’s gel formula, it can be hard to remove. Your drugstore brand removers are probably not going to work here. I did try and basically I still had mascara on the next morning! Having said that, I think a good quality remover that’s more creamy in texture should work. I have been using Benefit’s They’re Real Remover and that takes it off with ease. I will be trying out some more removers in future and I will let you know how I go.

Benefit’s They’re Real! Mascara is a winner for me. I will definitely be trying more Benefit products now and I can’t wait to let you guys know what I think. What are your favourite Benefit products? What would you recommend I try? Let me know in the comments below.
