Lush Haul and Review

IMG_2447[1]

I have to admit I actually bought these awhile ago. Before Easter, hence the White Rabbit bubble bar. I wanted to wait until I had used the products and I am in a very Lush mood this weekend, so here it is.

20140511_214047[1] Cynthia Sylvia Stout Shampoo

“This shampoo is drunk on success! Stout, cognac and lemons make this a supremely conditioning  shampoo to give weight and shine” – Lush

I love this shampoo. LOVE it. It’s my favourite shampoo that I have tried so far and one of my favourite Lush products. It smells AMAZING! Yes it does have stout (beer) in it, but beer is actually quite good for your hair. I bought this for my husband originally, but I’ve kind of stolen it because I liked it so much (Well Ok we share it). My hair feels soft, clean and doesn’t get to oily between washes. The shampoo lathers up really nicely and you don’t need to use a lot. It’s been nearly 2 months? since I bought it. Both my husband & I use it and we still have a fait bit left (My husband washes his hair daily & me every other day or so). The smell though! Smells like ginger beer and lemons! Which I love. I am defiantly getting the largest bottle available next time!!

RRP: $12.95/100g, $22.95/250g, $32.95/500g.

20140511_214031[1] Dirty Springwash Shower Gel

“Like a dip in a mountain spring, with spearmint & menthol to your skin feel cool in a hot shower. Don’t be dirty – get fresh with this tingly and extremely minty body & hair gel.”       – Lush.

I bought this for my man, though I’ve read a lot of reviews from girls who love it too. I can  understand why. It smells just like spearmint lollies! Yum. Hubby does quite like this one. It does give you a cool tingly feeling when you use it, though not heaps according to him. This is part of the Gorilla Perfume range at Lush so you can layer up the scent. I would repurchase this one.

RRP: $7.95/100g, $14.95/250g, $26.50/500g.

Dirty Shaving Cream

“A superb shaving cream with oatmilk to cool and calm, safflower oil to moisturize and honey to soothe.” – Lush

Oh yeah, I share this one too. Again a fresh spearmint lollies smell. It is a very nice product to use. I use it on my legs and even with a crappy disposable razor – Zero irritation. Only nice smooth skin. I was really impressed. As with most Lush products you don’t need to use a lot, which is great because I don’t feel like I’m clogging up my razor with foam and not actually getting rid of the hair (if you know what I mean). I’m keen to try out the Prince shaving cream as well. A nice option for sensitive skin, male or female.

RRP: $9.95/100g,19.95/225g

The White Rabbit Bubble Bar

This was a limited edition for Easter and I just couldn’t help myself. So cute. Not my favourite bubble bar though. I thought it smelt nice, sweet kinda mashmallowy… (my husband said it reminded him of medicine. Weird). I used up the whole thing in one bath but you could cut it into two if you wanted. It made the bath a pretty pale pink colour and had small flowers into which floated in the water. The bubbles didn’t last as long as other bubble bars that I have used, like the Comforter & Brightside Bubble bars. Which I found a little disappointing.  My skin didn’t feel as soft/smooth as when I used the Inhale/Exhale bath bomb either. Not sure I would get this again if they bring it out next year.

RRP: *Limited Edition* $5.95.

IMG_2522[1] Toner Tabs

Dream Steam (top left) & T Tree (bottom right):

I love using these just before I use a face mask. The T tree one is good for oily skin and helps to cleanse skin. Dream Steam is for dry skin. You but them in a bowl of hot water and the put your face over it and cover your head with a towel. It’s relaxing and defiantly adds a bit of extra pampering for the DIY facial. You can also store the left over water in the fridge (about a week) and use as a toner. I have heard of people putting them in the bottom of their shower too. I haven’t tried that yet! Not everyone will like these, but I would recommend giving them a try.

RRP: $2.50 each.

SAMPLE:

Dream Cream Body Lotion:  I wish there had been more of this. It was a nice creamy body lotion and not overly scented. My skin did feel nice and smooth after using it. It is good for sensitive skin due to the oatmilk used in the product. I did like this, I’m not sure if I love it. I would like to try the Charity Pot Lotion as well and see how that compares.

RRP: $29.95/240g

That’s all from this Lushie today 🙂 I hope you had an amazing weekend and Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mums out there!
